A Family of Asset Protection Devices

The patented Asset Protection Device® family from Security Solutions Plus provides maximum protection against asset theft and vandalism. There are two models of Asset Protection Devices: Universal and LapTop - each designed for a specific application or asset needing protection. We put an electronic leash on your valuable assets!

All Asset Protection Devices (APDs) incorporate a wireless battery-operated transmitter, a tamper circuit, and hardwired sensors. The wireless transmitters are supervised meaning they electronically check in with the wireless alarm receiver regularly to ensure that they are operating properly. If there is a problem with the APD or if the battery goes low, the receiver notifies the monitoring software and a alert is generated. APD transmitters have a battery life of three to five years. The tamper circuit protects the APD from being removed or vandalized. And hardwired sensors connect the asset to the APD. If a hardwired sensor is removed or cut, the APD transmits a unique alarm signal to the alarm receiver which then creates an alert in the monitoring software. Asset Protection Devices are typically activated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for maximum protection.

Asset Protection Devices are part of the Asset Protection System® designed by Security Solutions Plus. A complete Asset Protection System includes wireless Asset Protection Devices, a wireless alarm receiver and monitoring software. These components allow for immediate electronic notification to an organizations’ security monitoring facility for instantaneous response. APDs also easily integrate into your existing security technology infrastructure. For example, a wireless alarm receiver can be connected to an existing building security panel which would then monitor the Asset Protection Devices.

A well designed Asset Protection System implemented within your organization can also be used to monitor wireless Panic Buttons, Motion Detectors and Environmental sensors - maximizing the return on your security technology investment. And if your environment has video surveillance, the system can be used to trigger a camera that can be displayed and recorded in full motion - all part of a layered security approach.
